So hard to choose. Battletoads deserves some attention. Both because it had pretty kick-ass music (just watch This Battletoads walkthrough. 1:13 to 1:35. That part of the introtune was still stuck in my head even though I hadn't played Battletoads since the mid-90s.) but also because I've never had more Game Overs than when I played battletoads. The play-through I linked makes it look easy, but battletoads was tough!. I never beat it despite that I spent a significant proportion of my vacations back then trying. Of course we didn't have youtube back then, so no videoguides.

Having just played it, the Fortress and Airship themes from SMB 3 would be great. SSB Brawl did a great job with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uluRpTIK-lEIt's time for the metal version.

Awesome, thank you! Our next cover will be from Mega Man. After that one's finished our choice of cover will, in all likelyhood, be one of the following:
Metroid - Kraid F-Zero - Big Blue Faxanadu - Overworld Bionic Commando - Slime stage Double Dragon - Title song
Comments on this will be very much appreciated.
If (even after 2 years) still holds true, then either Metroid or Faxanadu would be amazing. Kraid's theme has little to work with (since it's a very short tune) but is one of my favorite themes. Then again, everything from Metroid is amazing (Brinstar is gorgeous and Norfair is dark). But Faxanadu...ooohh, now that was a great little gem.

I would love to hear Phoenix Wright magic in Game Over, or Earthbound music in Game Over!

Yeah pretty cool music! Armadillo Tank from Baltimore did a cover of the overworld music from this game, it's on their album.
