I've always loved the music from "Little Nemo - The Dream Master". Really catchy tunes which would totally rock in Metal shape Level 2 - Flower Garden Level 6 - Cloud Ruins Level 8 - Nightmare Land It saddens me that there aren't that many remixes of tunes from this game.

Thanks for the awesome music so far! Music that would be perfect for Game Over in my opinion would be the battle theme from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (SNES). Here's a midi version from vgmusic.com (the in-game version is better, of course): http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/ffmqbatl.midOther music from this game could be great too, such as the Boss music, the Final Boss music, Doom Castle and the Volcano.

I so want to do the trial music from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney! But not enough people have heard it, I think?

Doing something from Skitchin' or Super Dodge Ball would work, the Golgo 13 theme tune too. Or, more obvious perhaps, something from Chrono Trigger.

I never played Chrono Trigger... *sigh* Gotta do that some time...
And Wire, if you want to cover something, just do it! It doesn't really matter how known or unknown the source material really is... what matters are the results and how YOU as the musicians think of it. So, if the other guys agree with it, why not Phienix Wright Ace Attorney? =)
Anyway, support the idea of covering unknown stuff. If it is always like Zelda - Mega Man - Castlevania it could get a bit repetitive or even boring...

Heard someone mention the Shadowrun theme a while back, City 2. Shadowrun is an awsome classic SNES-game, argueable one of the best on the platform. The feeling, the rain, the cursed, lost and destroyed future of Shadowrun, is more or less perfect of A metal-piece. Also, it's a shame Jake Armitage remains as one of the lost heroes of the 16-bit era :/

Hey, how about a Earthbound song?
Here is a suggestion about Final Fantasy compsitions. It would be cool to take a bunch of final fantasy songs from 1 game or a few of the games and make sort of a epic peice. Alot of bands have out songs lasting 10 minutes some times longer. That's just a crazy idea I thought of right now, thought the people here would be interested.

I agree with Kite^. A tune based on Probotector (Contra, but RD008 & RCO11 are cooler than Lance & Bill :-P) would be perfect. The Energy Zone is pure metal, and the game start jingle beggs to be mistreated by a mean guitar...
