In this thread I would like to get tips of good remixes at ocremix.org. I'm to tired to listen thru all unimaginative techno-remixes, so I wanna hear your favs  Smiley

One of the best remixes I've found so far is "Mega Man Cutman Sonata" by McVaffe. It's a totally wonderful piece of work.

Have a nice midsummer everyone!

Zelda the Music of My Groin by Shael Riley
Terra in Black by Ailsean (Final Fantasy VI)
Hillbilly Rodeo by djpretzel   (Bubble Bobble)
Grande Valse Mario by Bladiator (Super Mario World)
The Ken Song (SF2)
Dr. Wily's Wedding (Mega Man 2)
Snow Field by Tefnek (Contra - techno but REALLY GOOD!)
The Belmont Chill (Super Castlevania 4)

Not many people hangin' on OCRemix here...

Anyway, thanks for theese tips, some of them were really nice. I specially liked "Terra in Black" and "Snow Field". I've heard so many more or less boring remixes of the Terra Theme that I've almost forgotten how wonderful it actually sounds. This was the best remix of that song I've heard.

"Snow Field" just takes me back to that sterile level of Probotector, so damn difficult that game is... It was only because of the Konami-code I could ever beat it Smiley The remix kicked some serious ass, techno or not.

"Dr. Wily's Wedding" is yet another proof that a Mega Man consert with piano would be wonderful. "Hillbilly Rodeo" really shows that there are no limits to what you can do of Video Games music. Really liked that one haha

Keep them coming, and I will seriously look around for more good remixes on my vacation when I'm not working my butt off to be able to afford a DS Lite.
Meanwhile, I suggest you check out "Zelda 3 - The Darkness And The Light". Beautiful little song

Check out Wicked Six by Sixto Sounds, it's from Castlevania level 3. It has an amazing guitar solo at 3:20, too bad the guitar is a little weak there.

But Game Over's version with those vocals and that growling is much better of course.  Cool

I want to recommend this lovable Wizards & Warriors remix made by trenthian and Brothersynthe:

http://olremix.org/remixes/?id=506

Although the singing is somewhat horrible and the sound quality isn't the best, the arrangement is superb. I wish I would've done it.  Smiley
If the performance was a little bit stronger it would easily be one of the best vocal mixes out there.
