Happy birthday!!  Grin  Grin  Grin

Listening to it right now, and it sounds good. Really good! Cheesy

But I have two suggestions.

A bit heavier on the drums would have made it harder / heavier and speed up the tempo in the beginning a bit so it matches the middle / end of the song.

But I loooove the synth! It makes me think of Deep Purple's "Child in time". Wink

Grymt jobbat / Great job!

3  General Category / General / Game Over t-shirts - No more? on: April 12, 2009, 11:27:05 AM
I got myself a G.O. t-shirt a couple of years ago and it still serves me very well. I wear it prodly from time to time, but I have noticed that it has started to shown a bit of that "tear and wear" (well, actually only wear since the shirt isn't damaged in any other way)...or you could say it god that nice good ol' vintage look of it.  Wink

Anywho, I was wondering if t-shirts are still available to order? Or was it too much of a hassle to print up, or do you ppl. have something up yer sleeve and maybe a new design coming up along with some new kick ass tunes?  Cheesy

Lotsa easter love to ye!  Kiss

I hope that you'll have a great trip Wire and that you'll come back to Schweden with alot of inspiration for the new album.

I am wondering if you guys still follow games like Zelda, Metroid etc, or is the stuff you make stuck in the NES/Snes past?

So have you have followed games like Zelda Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3? You guys excited for Wii?

Also, do you like the DS? Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow is amazing.

I try to play the new Zelda, Mario, Metroid and  other favorite game series games as much as i can...but due to economic reasons i haven tried out the latest Metroid games (for the GC and DS) nor have i tried Windwaker (i own an factory sealed limited edition of it even though i dont have a GC (yet)).

i will buy the Wii when it hits the stores, it is so great it is backwards compatible with the GC so i can finally enjoy those Metroid, Mario and Zelda games i have been missing out on.

6  General Category / General / Game Over in swedish gaming magazine on: July 21, 2006, 12:53:57 PM
Game Over has been mentioned in the swedish gaming magazine Super Play #125.

They (the mag. that is) has a special article about gaming music, and at page 54 they write. (first in swedish from the mag, then i have translated it myself into english):

Börja här: Little Mac´s Confession

Aldrig har ett "Börja här"-tips känts mer självklart. Det här är låten som skickade ut Game Over i omloppsbana. Och det med all rätt."

English: (translation by me, so if any fault is in the text, blame me then).

"The problaby most brightest shining star on the gamecover sky is the überambitious Nintendometalheads Game Over, lead by Elisabeth "Wire McQuaid" Pezouvanis. Their work is set slowly and methodically to convert simple NES-themes to real power metal-songs complete with advanced instrumental music and high-pitched vocals with newly written text on each respectively game theme.

Overclocked Remix summarized it best in their review of the Punch Out-interpretation Little Mac´s Confession: "Oh wow. You haaaaave to download this one. ....Fantastic guitarrplaying and incomparable lyrics and damn good song...Tell this about your friends, your grandma, your neighbours and to who ever you can catch and keep for atleast 2 minutes without them calling for help or the cops.

...Seriously speaking, this is a A++ mix that do everything right. Did i mention 'wow'?

Start here: Little Mac´s Confession

Never has a "Start here"-tip felt more obvius. This is the song that sent out Game Over into orbit. And that with all right.
"

Congrats to Game Over! I raise my fist and my beer in salut to you.

Hail Game Over! We the peasants of metal hail thee.

i will bang my head and drink beer to salute you all at the great Metaltown concerts in Göteborg this friday (7/7 2006).

Then you can say hello to Kimpa (the drum programmer on Nintendo Metal), he's going to be there. A real cutie, don't you think?

True, but not as cute as you

Btw. i took some pix to remmember the day:

If you are in Gothenburg, Sweden sometime i can show you a store that sells retro t-shirts just like those on that link there.

They go for about 250,- SKR, that´s about 35:- USD or 26:- EUR.

No, don´t ask me to take pix, buy and send to cause i won´t. What i can do is to give you a nice tour of Gothenburg, showing off some nice stores and of course we´ll go by that t-shirt store and do some shopping.

The only day(s) for me to hold this tour is on saturdays/sundays, if you are interested in a tour then just PM me.

Note: I will not pay for any tickets to and or from Gothenburg, busses/trams or any other transportation, hotels or any other overnight rooms, food or drinks (maybe i´ll buy you a drink if i´m in a happy mood) or anything else.

This tour can be cancelled since i have a job to go to, i will not be held resposible for any costs if that happens, nor can i be held resposible if you or travel friends end up in a accident.

14  General Category / General / NESperado on: June 27, 2006, 09:04:02 AM
I think the sound is good on this NESperado, sure the drums sounds a bit "muffled" on T.T. (Transylvanian Temptation) but hey it still sounds coool!

I really love the sitar & guitar in the beginning, awesome start! And the girl singing on "Hyrule´s Angel"...i waaant mooore of her!

And please on the next demo, i want more growling!
