Why would you say that?
They don't enjoy rock and metal mixes at all anymore?
Ah, don´t read any deep undermeanings in that! I was only reflecting your own words, OCR seems to lean pretty much towards electronica/ techno.

I´ve never been a frequent visitor to OCR, so I don´t have any good answers to your questions. I browse thorugh a couple of mixes sometimes, and once in a while I end up with gems like Neskvartettens jazz och Makke´s Kraftwerk-tribute (yup, all good videogame covers are made in Sweden Wink )

Obviously the OCR people still like rock/metal mixes, and so does the community. So far, every reviewer have been positive about TT. I don´t know what you mean when you say judges were doubtious, 3 out of 4 seemed to be dead sure it was good! The critique is nothing you didn´t already know. Er, maybe exept the part about vocals being too hot... (GO vocals can NEVER be too hot!)

So why aren´t you getting hits? Beats me.

Transylvanian Temptation made it to Overclocked remix, yay! The judges seems to have enjoyed the energy and arrangements a lot, and it´s great to see that there is still room for a band like Game Over in OCR. Sure the forum-review has some snobish remark on mixing issues (this is OCR after all Wink ) but in general the track has been very well recieved! And rightfully so, you´ve all done a splendid job restoring a good song into a great one.

Whoa, this sounds GOOD! I didn´t expect to hear it so soon! The new Transa is a great improvement over the old demo.

I complained a bit over Tim´s voicework and I take it all back. With a proper mix, he sounds just like the awesome metal vocalist he is. Apart from that, your guitar riffs benefit a lot from the mixing as well.

I don´t know if Dasaten became your bassist in time for this song, but he is a great addition! I´ve always thought the highlight of his remixes is the groovy bass! Egg does a fine job too, and I´m relieved Zoid´s growl is still there! The song just wouldn´t be the same without it.

The choice of synth makes the song cleaner like you wanted, but I kind of liked the old one too. Sure church organ is cliché, but it´s an adorable cliché. No big deal however, all the work you´ve put into this really paid off!

And all I want from 2009 is a Cutman release Grin

Comicchaser: I could listen to the song in a Quicktime window... Don´t know what´s malfunctioning for you Undecided

Great news ISC Grin
I enjoy your SMB3 cover "Death Comes from the Skies" a lot (It´s freaky with death growls in a Mario song!), so I´ll be looking forward to that Mario LP!

Grin Well, it is kind of amazing...

I still don´t have any webspace that allows downloading of a whole shortfilm. My brother makes new copies of the film from time to time, and I´ll mail you if he is ready to do do some overseas shipping. Don´t hold your breath though, it may take a while. The crappy subtitles barely outweight the fact that everybody speak swedish, but it´s part of the fun I guess...

Anyhow, I´ll post once I have some news.

Rock ´n roll, man! Adon may be the worst Street Fighter character ever, but this was sweet!
22  General Category / General / Re: Favorite Metal bands? on: January 20, 2008, 08:40:18 AM
Dream Theater? I could never have guessed, they are very nice indeed!

I like the old stuff best, Led Zeppelin, Mountain and so on. Of the newer bands (Wow, founded in the 80´s!) I prefer Metallica and Megadeth.

But then again, we COULD have Mortal Mothers... with digitalized pictures of real mothers moving about Grin

Wow. You two can blame your mothers for what you´ve become. I can but blame myself Smiley

Your MOM sang videogametunes for you?! Now I´m envious! My mom´s always hated videogamemusic (as, I guess, most parents do). But I get your point, perhaps a happy little NES-song can be completely ruined when your parents sing it for hours on end...

Koji Kondo being overrated... I can swallow that, I think. But Adventures of Lolo having the worst soundtrack in context: THAT´S controversal! Those cheeky songs are just wonderful! Duu-duttu dutturu duttu duturu dutu-rutu-ru...  Grin
27  General Category / General / Re: Dwelling of Duels on: November 12, 2007, 08:54:11 AM
I liked this one! The guitar and piano go very well together, and this time I can´t even complain about the drums! I think my favourite part is between 1.00-2.00, partly because I knew it from a remix by dasaten on olr, but mostly because of the great transition at the end. My only advice is to focus on just two or three tracks from the game. You don´t have to agree, but I think it helps when you want to weld together different pieces to an individual work.

Beautiful! Videogame turns music turns videogame again!
29  General Category / News / Re: September 4th 2007 on: September 04, 2007, 02:15:39 AM
That´s great news. The first Mega Man soundtrack is a bit underestimated in my opinion, and I´m very excited about how the new Game Over sound will handle this classic...!

Grin A new way of enjoying The Who!

I never knew Link had such a good voice.
