I can't believe I haven't listened to this until now, but so it goes.

This is great. I was wondering how Cut Man would fit with Game Over's style, and it seems you've changed both your sound and the song to meet somewhere unexpected between the two. You've once again found the "dark side of the game." Juggler's new vocal has a great texture that, again, unexpectedly fits. Egg's drums are BEAST. This is a big change but it's totally still Game Over! I'm impressed at how well you adapt.

Keep rocking!

Edit: I just now understood the part where the vocal part slides from low to high. That's really clever.

Hi Zoid!

I find it interesting that the hits are down from before. Could be waning popularity in general, could be a change in tastes among the population. I don't go there much these days, so that's one less Game Over fan!
3  General Category / General / Swedish pronunciation of Opeth on: April 21, 2009, 11:31:11 PM
Wire, your name ends in "th," but from listening to Spelradion I think that you use a hard "T" sound instead of an English "TH" sound like that of "path." I was wondering, how do Swedes say "Opeth," as in the name of the Swedish band? Is it "Oh-pett" or "Oh-peth" (English phonetics)?

That Gimmick track is one of my favorites from that new album. I can hear your playing style clearly.

I've been wondering since you mentioned a year or two ago that people at MAG didn't like you: why is that? Why did Shawn hate you?

I was so excited to see the newsletter in my inbox!

It sounds like the new mix is clearer: the guitar parts have more definition, the bass is more present, and as you said you can hear Criss's singing more clearly. Cool.

I miss Zoid! It's probably mostly my affinity for what I've already heard, but I liked Zoid's playing better. Egg didn't play the cymbal as much in his version of Transylvanian Temptation, so the new drum part sounds empty in comparison. It fits well with the rest of the tune, though, so I'm looking forward to hearing Egg again on Cut Man.

Who was criticizing the synth sounds in the old one? They sounded great!

Keep up the good work, everybody. \m/
