Ooops, if some of you got multiple newsletter emails it's because you've registered twice. I have removed the ones I could find manually.
And some of you got a newsletter where the addresses were not in the Bcc field. I'm very sorry about that.   Won't happen again.

Seems like the bots have found their way here. Pr0n threads and ads have been posted on this forum lately by them. I fixed it so that you have to confirm via email when you sign up as a new user. Hope that helps.
(If you're already have a user account on this forum, this does not affect you.)

I'm sorry for all the porn this board has been spammed with the last couple of weeks. As you know I'm travelling around in the US and I don't have daily access to the Internet.

Is someone here on this forum good at PHPBB? I'm admin on another forum and we don't have this problem over there. I'll be back in Sweden on Monday 19th and then I'll see what I can do.

Edit: I banned all the usernames of the bots and set user registration confirmation to admin. I don't know if this is the best way to avoid more spam, but it'll do for now.

Like, it's not like I don't know about this forum looking like shit. I'm trying to fix the problem. Have faith and some patience.

Ok, so the forum works again. I think this "standard" theme for the board has got to do for a while. Don't worry, everything is back to normal aside from that.

Does anyone experience any errors with this board? I keep getting error messages. If you have difficulties posting, please email me at wire AT nintendometal DOT com.

Naw, works fine, I guess.

Everything is back to normal except for the forum pathway. If you had this forum bookmarked you need to make changes to the address since the database is no longer on the server.

As you might have noticed this forum was completely taken over by spam bots. This was the reason I switched from PHPBB to Simple Machines.
If anyone knows what to do to increase security, please tell me.
I did my best to remove the threads. When stuff like this happens, I would be happy if someone would inform me asap.  ::)

I also apologize sincerely for what happened. Some of those pictures were GROSS, I really hope noone clicked on any of them...

The link for the remaster of Transylvanian Temptation has an extra .mp3 at the end, making it a broken link.

Also, I just registered and the activation link in the email didn't work as it was missing  I was able to put it in manually and get it to work.

Glad to see you guys are still around!

Thanks a lot for reporting these bugs! The PHP guru just went to bed so until tomorrow I just set it so that no registration email is needed (I hope I won't wake up to a forum filled with porn ;)).

Broken link has been fixed. I figured you would all download it from the first page. ;)

It's up on MySpace too now by the way.

(I hope I won't wake up to a forum filled with porn ;))

That's what I consider a great start to the day!

I figured you would all download it from the first page. ;)

I guess I got a little excited and started clicking buttons.

Glad I could help.

:P   :D

Activation email is now required again but the link has been fixed.

Keep reporting bugs! I know there might be more as this is is the second time we change the server. I put a 301 redirect from the old forum path by the way, so you don't have to worry about that.

If you can't login or register to post in this thread for some reason, please email bugs to gameover AT nintendometal DOT com.

This forum constantly gets messages from bots and I go here occasionally to remove them and ban their usernames. Bots are getting smarter and smarter though and I can tell they use scripts that scan threads for keywords to be able to post relevant messages.

If you have been taken for a bot and banned I apologize. When you register, try not to include links like "buy *censored* here" or "Casino black jack" in your signature or profile as you're more likely to be removed.
